(Even according to Tiktok statistics, Azerbaijan is after Bangladesh in the world according to per capita tracking hours second) Your potential follower is among them. The main question is, are you reaching this viewer or your opponents?
In this article, I'll explain what SMM is, why it's important, and how to start from scratch in simple language, step-by-step.
What is SMM?
SMM (Social Media Marketing — social media marketing) the process of promoting your business, building an audience, and increasing sales by creating, sharing, and advertising content on social networks.
In simple terms: if a business is a store, social media is a street. SMM is the art of decorating a showroom on that street, inviting people in and making them regular customers.
SMM consists of two major parts:
Organik SMM — free shares: posts, Reels, Story, response to comments. Builds trust and communication.
Paid SMM (advertisement) — Meta Ads is the process of reaching more people on a budget on platforms like TikTok Ads. It's fast-paced, so we can go straight to what we want.
The two need to work together for a sustainable outcome.
Why is SMM important?
Sometimes entrepreneurs say, “My product is good, it's sold without ads.“ The reality is different, human psychology doesn't buy what it doesn't see, it doesn't trust what it doesn't recognize. And social media is a powerful tool for promotion.

Trust — constant, quality content shows you/your company as one of the best in the industry.
Direct sales — the correct ad turns into a direct order.
Contact customer — you communicate live with comments and messages.

LinkedIn Page URL — B2B (business to business), an indispensable platform for professional services and personal branding.
To get started Choosing 1-2 platforms and being quality is a more successful strategy there. It's more effective to be strong in one place than to be weak everywhere.

Step-by-step SMM strategy
Like a ship with no direction to share a day without a plan, it'll lead you down in the middle of the ocean. If you want to take a strategy approach, follow the steps below;
Set a goal. What do you want to know, increase followers, or sell? Goal sets everything and goal sets strategy.
Get to know your audience. Who is the customer? What is their age, interest, issue? Getting to the target will make you bigger. If you say my client is anyone, you probably won't be able to capture anyone's interest.
Research competitors. Look at successful pages in the field: what works and what doesn't? why are they successful, what type of sharing?
Make a content plan. Make a monthly content plan, how many posts, what topics will it cover? Create a monthly content calendar that works for your plan, and keep sharing systematic.
